She chats to <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LynnisePantin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lynnise Pantin<\/a>,\u00a0 a startup lawyer and professor at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.columbia.edu\/faculty\/lynnise-e-pantin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Columbia Law School<\/a> about her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.colorlines.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Colorlines<\/a> piece <a href=\"https:\/\/www.colorlines.com\/articles\/fyre-fest-theranos-invisible-racial-subtext-raising-capital-op-ed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u201cFrom Fyre Fest to Theranos, the Invisible Racial Subtext of Raising Capital.&#8221;<\/a> It\u2019s a fascinating conversation which offers a wealth of insight into some of the more insidious biases at play in the tech eco-system. <\/p>\n<h2 id=\"our-host\">Our host<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Deena_McKay\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Deena McKay<\/a> is the founder and host of the podcast, <a href=\"https:\/\/blacktechunplugged.com\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Black Tech Unplugged<\/a>. Black Tech Unplugged is a monthly podcast that highlights Blacks who innovate and work in the tech industry. Deena started Black Tech Unplugged as a way for Blacks to see people who looked like them in the tech industry. She also wanted to share tips and advice for those trying to get into the industry.
