He brings extensive financial and leadership experience that will help Intercom continue to scale and deliver on our mission to make internet business personal.<\/p>\n<p>As a company, we are at a pivotal moment in our journey. We are seeing record demand for our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.intercom.com\/blog\/messenger\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Business Messenger<\/a> and increasingly larger businesses are choosing Intercom to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.intercom.com\/blog\/a-message-to-our-customers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">build strong relationships with their customers<\/a>. Large global brands like Amazon, Facebook, and Lyft are adopting Intercom to deliver conversational experiences to their customers at every stage of the customer journey.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.intercom.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/Dan-Griggs-Intercom-CFO.jpg\" alt=\"Dan Griggs, Intercom's CFO\" width=\"30%\" \/><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em>Dan Griggs, Intercom&#8217;s new CFO<\/em><\/span><\/div>\n<p>As we enter our next era, now is the right time to bring on a strong finance leader with deep experience in growing companies at our scale. Dan has a tremendous track record of growing robust mid-market and enterprise technology businesses like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sitecore.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sitecore<\/a> and Rocket Fuel (now part of Amazon\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sizmek.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sizmek<\/a>). As Sitecore\u2019s CFO, he played a critical role in its transformation from a perpetual license business to a subscription-based cloud software business. Under his leadership, Sitecore successfully completed the transition while doubling revenue at scale. Prior to Sitecore, Dan was the VP of Financial Planning and Analysis at Rocket Fuel where he built the FP&amp;A organization from the ground up, helping to scale the organization from $45M to over $400M in revenue, over $2B in market cap, and through a successful IPO and secondary offering.<\/p>\n<p>As CFO, Dan\u2019s strategic leadership will help us advance our mission, scale the business, and execute on our long term business objectives, including investing in our product to deliver value to ever larger businesses and, in the near term, bringing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.intercom.com\/blog\/customer-support-software\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">conversational support<\/a> to market. Dan will leverage his broad financial and operational acumen to strengthen our systems, processes, and controls as our business matures so we can best serve our customers worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s Dan in his own words: \u201cI\u2019m thrilled to join Intercom because its industry-leading platform is solving real problems for customers and is changing the game when it comes to customer communication.
