I&#8217;m the VP of Support, and also a co-founder.<\/p>\n<h3>Which celebrity would be really great at your job, and why?<\/h3>\n<p>Marge Simpson from The Simpsons. Marge is the epitome of patience and understanding. With her calm demeanor, she handles her family\u2019s various shenanigans. This skill set would be ideal for handling difficult customer situations.<\/p>\n<h3>What\u2019s the most valuable thing that working in customer service has taught you?<\/h3>\n<p>Customer service taught me that if I ever start a band, it&#8217;ll be called \u201cUnforeseen Delays.\u201d Our first album? \u201cHold Please.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>What\u2019s your greatest productivity hack?<\/h3>\n<p>Requesting a screen recording from the customer when they face a complex issue. Wanna go for a beer tonight?&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3>What can you do that a bot will never be able to replicate?<\/h3>\n<p>Go to the bathroom.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"pullquote-style-one\"><p>&#8220;Support is emotionally tiring. You need to be well to be able to support others efficiently.<\/p>\n<h3>What book are you reading at the moment?<\/h3>\n<p><em>The Count of Monte Cristo<\/em> by Alexandre Dumas.<\/p>\n<h3>What&#8217;s the best thing a customer has ever said to you?<\/h3>\n<p>\u201cI love you.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>Where do you get your support leadership news?<\/h3>\n<p>We have a private Slack with other support leaders \u2013 it\u2019s the best way to help each other and get answers to questions you wouldn\u2019t find online.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"pullquote-style-two\"><p>&#8220;Our team is a key bridge between our company and users&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h3>What words make your skin crawl?<\/h3>\n<p>&#8220;Sea.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3>How would you explain your job to an alien?<\/h3>\n<p>I oversee a team that helps Earthlings resolve product issues, ensuring happiness and trust in the product. Our team is a key bridge between our company and users.<\/p>\n<h3>What\u2019s your most used emoji in customer chats?<\/h3>\n<p>\ud83d\ude4c<\/p>\n<h3>Do you identify more with the title \u201ccustomer support,\u201d customer service,\u201d \u201ccustomer success,\u201d or \u201ccustomer experience,\u201d and why?<\/h3>\n<p>As long as it includes \u201ccustomer,\u201d it works ;) \u2013 customer support, customer delight, customer care, customer happiness, customer experience, customer hero&#8230;<\/p>\n<h3>What was your \u201c15 minutes of fame\u201d moment?<\/h3>\n<p>A head of support reached out to me because he got fired the day before. His wife was expecting a baby the following week. He HAD to find a job as soon as possible to support his family. I made three very qualified intros and he got a job two days later. He sent me the warmest message ever a few weeks after to let me know how much of a lifesaver it was.<\/p>\n<h3>What do you wish people knew about working in customer service?<\/h3>\n<p>The people are very talented.
