Understand how your price is calculated, and get the most out of your Intercom subscription.

Intercom offers three distinct solutions,

  • Support — Offer your customers ​​high-quality, personalized help at scale.

  • Engage — Onboard, activate and re-engage customers.

  • Convert — Turn website visitors into paying customers.

Intercom also has add-ons that provide additional capabilities.

Intercom also has a Starter plan with a limited set of features from these solutions. It’s perfect for a small business supporting, onboarding, and engaging customers, to build great relationships.

Each solution contains a unique set of features, and has different available add-ons to suit your needs. Click the links above to learn more about a specific solution, or read on below.


Support

This solution lets you offer self-serve and human support to your customers at scale. It contains the following features (among others):

Human support

  • Tickets

  • Service Level Agreement rules

  • Workload management

  • Role-based permissions

  • Outcome reporting

Self-serve support

  • Help articles

  • Conversational bots

  • Resolution bot

Support is priced per seat. Each teammate who needs access to support features must have a support seat in Intercom.

Support Premium allows you to add Collaborator seats too, for people outside your organization or workspace.


Engage

Onboard, activate and re-engage customers with this solution. Send targeted messages and campaigns across multiple channels. It contains the following features (among others):

Each teammate who needs access to these features must have an "Engage Seat" in Intercom.

Convert is the solution to capture and convert leads and turn your website visitors into paying customers. It contains the following features (among others):

Proactive support

Proactive support add-on is available on Support Plans and provides targeted outbound messaging.

Proactive support is charged as an incremental cost to each support seat.

Resolution Bot

Resolution bot add-on is available on Support Plans. It provides an intelligent bot that automatically answers to your frequently asked questions, giving your customers instant answers and freeing up your team to focus on more complex conversations. Resolution Bot explained.

Advance Workspace Management:

Advance Workspace Management is designed to support Entreprise customers with sophisticated workspace management requirements. It provides additional capabilities for:

Advance Workspace Management price is based on the total number of seats purchased across Support, Engage and Convert.

Custom API Rate

Custom API Rates are designed for customers that need to increase their API rate limit above the default "safe limit" of 5,000 calls per minute. APIs explained.

Custom API Rates are priced as a flat annual fee.

Product Tours

Product Tours will help drive adoption with interactive tours, videos, checklists and tooltips inside your product. Product tours explained.

Product Tours is priced based on "Guided Users"

Surveys

Seamlessly capture customer insights. Surveys explained.

  • Create engaging surveys.

  • Collect responses and save user attributes.

  • Power actions and workflows to create a more personalized customer experience and drive business growth.

Surveys pricing is based fixed on the number of monthly “Surveys Sent”.

WhatsApp

Provide a seamless messaging experience for customers with WhatsApp. Whatsapp Explained.

Whatsapp is priced on seats.

SMS

SMS provides seamless two-way communication with your customers. SMS explained.

SMS pricing is based on the number of phone numbers you have activated and “SMS Segments Sent/Received” usage in the last billing month. Pricing can vary by SMS region.

Switch

Reduce hold times for your customers and move phone conversations to Messenger. Switch Explained.

Switch Pricing is based on "Calls deflected" per month.
