Customisable signatures for your support email ✍️

You can now create more professional looking emails with customisable signatures ✉️ 🎉. They are applied to all support emails sent from the Inbox and can be customised in the following ways:

  • Add a logo
  • Adjust the height and width of the logo
  • Reposition the logo
  • Add attributes and free text
  • You can also add HTML blocks for ultimate flexibility

[UPDATE] On July 31st - new attributes like job title, phone number, email ID and department have recently been added to improve customisability.

Use smart links to share content

With smart links you can now seamlessly launch Product Tours, Articles, News items, and Surveys from your Posts, Chats, and Banners. Smart links trigger content without end users being taken to another page or forcing a page refresh in order to load, meaning a better end user experience 🙌

Smart links can be inserted from:

  • The content inserter in Posts and Chats
  • The link inserter by highlighting the text in Posts, Chats, and Banners

Hi there! You can now use a CSV file of matching attributes to filter and target existing contacts. This will enable improved targeting for your messages and will save you time 🙌

The new feature can be found in:

  • The outbound composer for any content type under '+ Add audience rule'
  • The contacts page under '+ Add filter'
  • The series entry rules under '+ Add a rule'

Sync lead and contact data in bulk with our Salesforce app

We've introduced a new way to triggering data syncs using our Salesforce app.
The manual bulk sync enables teammates to manually trigger data syncs between Intercom and Salesforce at any time 🔀

Now you can more easily;

  • Achieve data parity between Intercom and Salesforce either before going live or on an ongoing basis.
  • React to internal data schema changes easily by updating mappings and syncing records in bulk.

The latest version of our API is now available.

  • Introducing the News API: share important product updates, announcements and more, directly in the Messenger through the API.
  • We added webhook topics that fire when a company is deleted or updated, and when a contact re-subscribes to receive emails.
  • We now include subscription type information in the webhook payload when a contact unsubscribes from communication.
  • We now include associated Custom Object data in Conversation search responses.

The support agents' favorite feature has made a come back: The inbox of 💙 is now available in the Next-Gen Inbox. And it now comes with a new addition 👏

The updated Achievements feature includes:

  • Seeing positive ratings a customer has left 🤩
  • Viewing real-time core performance metrics 📈

To access this, on your keyboard just hit CMD+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows) > select Achievements.

Hi there, Custom Objects are now visible in the Inbox sidebar, enabling agents to quickly see more user and conversation context. With Custom Objects in the Inbox, agents no longer have to switch between Intercom and external systems or ask customers to submit repetitive information! Now, agents have all the context they need at their fingertips to answer customer questions in a personal way.
