We’ve improved the attachment experience to make it more modern, seamless, and powerful. You can now insert an image into a conversation and add some text to it. This makes it easier to provide context for your teammates and helps our AI agent, Fin, understand what you're sending.

What's new in the Messenger

We've made several key improvements to how you send attachments:

Add text to your images

You can now attach an image and add text or a caption to it before you send it. This gives Fin AI Agent and your teammates the extra context they need to understand what you're sharing.

Easy drag-and-drop

When you drag a file or image over the Messenger, you'll see a clear "drop files or images here" box, making it easy to drop your attachments into the conversation.

Instant uploads

Attachments now start uploading as soon as you insert them into the composer, even before you send the message. You'll see the progress, and the system can handle any retries if there's an issue.

How to send an image with text

Adding a caption is a simple process that helps you explain what's in the image. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Navigate to the conversation in the Messenger where you want to send the image.

  2. Click the paperclip icon at the bottom of the conversation window, or simply drag and drop your image directly into the conversation composer.

  3. Once the image loads in the composer, type your message or caption in the text box below it. This text will be sent along with the image.

  4. When you're ready, click the send icon to send the image and your text together in a single message.

Note: This is currently available on the web application but not yet supported in the mobile SDKs (iOS and Android)
