Is there any way to prevent people from replying to outbound messages?

You can choose reactions as your reply type. or <a href="https://www.intercom.com/help/en/articles/1729-setting-up-chats-and-posts-for-maximum-impact#h_cf40f5d146">send a small post message instead of a chat and select "None" as the reply type</a>.
