Intercom now offers Regional Data Hosting in the following regions:
United States
Europe
Australia
To identify your hosting region, check the URL of your Intercom workspace:
app.intercom.com→ US-hostedapp.eu.intercom.com→ EU-hostedapp.au.intercom.com→ AU-hosted
This enables new customers to control the location of their data storage. By creating a new Intercom Workspace in their desired region, your customer data will not leave that region.
Regional Data Hosting in Europe and Australia is currently available to new customers on certain Intercom pricing plans.
Preparing for Migration
We don't offer migration options from one app to another, so you would have to use one of the export/import methods listed below to obtain the data from your Intercom workspace.
CSV Export - export user / company data
CSV Import - import user data
API - read / create any user / company data
Events API - read / create event data
Conversation data can be exported from one workspace using the Conversations API ,or as a CSV using the Reports section of the UI, however, there isn't a way to import a conversation and all its related data into a new workspace.
Note: Some data, such as one-off, ongoing messages and assignment rules, cannot be extracted out via these methods, and will require manual re-creation.Additional items requiring manual recreation include Series automated workflows, bots, Inbox settings, Macros, and outbound messages not covered by export tools.
Ongoing conversations cannot be migrated between workspaces and must be manually recreated.

FAQs
Can I migrate active conversations?
No, active conversations cannot be migrated. You will need to start fresh in the new workspace.
Can I transfer workflows?
No, workflows cannot be transferred. You must manually recreate them in the new workspace.
What happens to my old workspace?
Once the migration is complete and the new EU workspace is live, you can decommission the old US workspace.
