The Messenger allows you to share files and images to provide teammates and AI agents with the context they need to resolve issues quickly. You can send multiple files at once, add captions for clarity, and preview your attachments before sending.

Key features for attachments

The Messenger is designed to make sharing information seamless for both customers and teammates.

  • Bulk uploading: You can attach and send up to 10 images or files at once.

  • Image captions: You can add text or a caption directly to an image before sending it. This ensures that Fin AI Agent and human teammates have immediate context.

  • Visual organization: When you send multiple images, they appear in a compact grid layout to keep the conversation easy to navigate.

  • File identification: The Messenger uses unique icons and color-coding for different file types (such as PDFs and CSVs) so you can identify documents at a glance.

  • Draft previews: You can use the preview carousel to review all selected attachments before you send them.

  • Background uploading: To save time, attachments begin uploading to the composer the moment they are inserted.

How to send an image with text

Adding a caption is a simple process that helps you explain what's in the image. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Navigate to the conversation in the Messenger where you want to send the image.

  2. Click the paperclip icon at the bottom of the conversation window, or simply drag and drop your image directly into the conversation composer.

  3. Once the image loads in the composer, type your message or caption in the text box below it. This text will be sent along with the image.

  4. When you're ready, click the send icon to send the image and your text together in a single message.

Note: This is currently available on the web application but not yet supported in the mobile SDKs (iOS and Android)
