Configure Google Cloud Storage bucket for conversations data export

Learn how to create or use an existing GCS bucket for your conversations data export.

Intercom data export to cloud storage

Select Google Cloud Storage as destination.

If you are using an existing bucket, jump straight to Configure permissions.

Create a new bucket

1. Go to Cloud Storage - Buckets - Create bucket.

2. Provide bucket name.

3. We recommend to Enforce public access prevention on this bucket (on by default).

4. Click Create.

5. In Bucket details - Permissions - Grant access.

6. Copy the Principle and Role shown on Step 2 in Intercom data export settings.

7. Paste into Google Cloud Console then click Save.

8. Confirm settings saved in your Google Cloud Console.

9. Now, navigate back to Intercom data export settings and click Test. You should see banner appear with "Your bucket was successfully tested"

Finish the rest of the data export setup and you're ready to go. 🎉
