Teammates can reply directly to a particular message within a thread to help ensure contextual communication and better clarity in email conversations. This allows recipients to quickly identify which part of the conversation the response pertains which provides contextual history.

How it works

Hover over any email message in a conversation to view message actions. The second icon on the floating action menu is the Reply to this message option.

Teammates can also use the ⌘ K / Ctrl K menu to access message options and choose Reply to this message.

After clicking on the above option, the composer opens with the recipients based on the chosen message and the contextual history (if conversation history is enabled in your email settings).

When the message is composed and sent, the recipients are altered and the newest message is added to the bottom of the thread in the right chronological order and the right contextual history.
